Your Words Release Spirit-power!

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit (Proverbs 15:4).

The most potent force in the universe is the force of words. Through them, God created the entire world; He framed everything with His words, and lets us know we can do the same. Words release spirit-power. In Genesis 1, the Bible shows how the earth was a chaotic mass and the Spirit of God moved over the face of the deep. He incubated upon the face of the waters as a hen would brood over its eggs, but no change was obvious until God spoke.

When He spoke, He released spirit-power through words and whatever He said became. When He said “Let there be light,” spirit-power was released and light suddenly came forth out of darkness. In John 6:63, Jesus said, “…the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” This is very important. Everyone releases spirit when he speaks, but not everyone releases life. In fact, many people release death all the time into their lives, families, finances, business and future when they speak, without knowing it. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

That God gave us the ability to speak is evidence of His great love for us, for He gave us the tool to frame our worlds to conform to His perfect will. We’re the products of words. Words—the right words—build us, and programme us for success, victory and progress. But the wrong words destroy a man’s life. It matters the kind of words you speak about yourself. Speak only lifting words— Spirit-inspired words that give life—not words that destroy.
Remember, your tomorrow will be a reflection of the words you speak today, so speak life-giving words.

Maturity Is For Responsibility

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ (Ephesians 4:14-15).

The proof of growth; the proof that you’ve become a matured person is not in the size of your muscles; it’s in how responsible you’ve become. Maturity is for responsibility. No parent will bring up their children just so they could become adults and say “That’s it! We nurtured you to be twenty-five. Now that you’re twenty- five that’s all about life.” No, the reason they grew you to become an adult is for you to take up responsibilities.
This is something many in the Church need to realize. You’re not just in Church to grow spiritually and then have a nice life; spiritual growth is for responsibility. You grow so you can function and serve in the house of God; so you can be a blessing to others. True spiritual men and women are those who understand and are conscious of the responsibility of service.
Refuse to be amongst those who delight in being served, rather than being the ones serving. Jesus made clear the preeminence the one who serves has over the one being served: “But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all” (Mark 10:43-44).
Refuse to be idle in the house of God; be involved in service! Be known for your effectiveness in reaching out to others, as you win them to Christ; invite them to Church meetings and other programs in your local Church.
Remember, the ministry of reconciliation has been committed into your hands; therefore it’s your responsibility to speak for Jesus and manifest the Kingdom of God where you are. That’s the purpose for Christian growth. You’re being built up to function: “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ... (Ephesians 4:11-12). Your growth is for service and responsibility in the house of God, never forget that.

Pastor Chris

Prayer
I acknowledge that the glorious Gospel of the blessed God has been committed unto my trust, and as a good steward, I faithfully dedicate myself to serving the Gospel of Christ’s salvation to everyone in my world. I thank you heavenly Father, for counting me faithful and making me an effective minister of the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Love!

Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have.
Love doesn't strut,
Doesn't have a swelled head,
Doesn't force itself on others,
Isn't always "me first,"
Doesn't fly off the handle,
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn't revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.
Love never dies.

A Divine Commission, With Divine Omnipotence!

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned (Mark 16:15-16).

As Christians, we’ve been divinely commissioned to preach the Gospel and manifest the kingdom-life to those in our world. Jesus said in John 20:21, “As the Father has sent me, even so send I you!” But then in Luke 24:49, He was quick to add: “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.”
This promise of the Father was fulfilled when the Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost: “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come… suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting… And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:1-4). After the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, His disciples tucked themselves in an upper room, quietly hiding from the Jews. But when the Holy Spirit came upon them, every feeling of timidity disappeared! With boldness, they began to preach the very same Jesus they were forbidden from even mentioning.
The Lord Jesus had instructed the disciples to wait until they were endued with power from on high, even though He had given them the great Commission in Mark 16:15. He didn’t want them to go out preaching just because they were excited; He knew they needed power from on high. That power came on the day of Pentecost. And if you’re born again and have received the Holy Spirit, you’ve received that power from on high. It’s the dynamic ability to cause changes! It’s the power that makes you an effective witness for Christ.
There’s an inherent power in your spirit that makes you bold and unafraid to preach the Gospel anywhere, anytime! With that power working in you, everywhere you go, you win! You just know that you’re a success for God. It doesn’t matter how you start, you finish strong! This is the reason you ought to be bold and effective as a soul winner! You’re sent from God, on a divine commission, with divine omnipotence in your spirit. There’s something inside you that makes you a winner, it’s the power of the Holy Ghost, and it can meet any need. Praise God!

Prayer
I am full of power and dominion to preach the Gospel because of the presence of the Holy Ghost in my life! Nothing and no one can intimidate or stop my progress as I advance the Kingdom of God every day, teaching men and women in my world to live for Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Fulfill Your Purpose

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).

Throughout His earthly ministry, Jesus left no one in doubt as to His purpose on earth. He seized every opportunity to demonstrate the love of God to all people. He came that we may have life to the full (John 10:10). This was the purpose for which He lived, died and was raised back to life.
The life of Jesus while He walked this earth showed us a practical example of how to live as the light of God to our world today. His life was solely dedicated to fulfilling His God-given purpose and assignment. In John 4:34, He said to His disciples “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work”; He thus underlined the work of God as His all-consuming passion. So, as Christians and ambassadors of Christ in this world (2 Corinthians 5:20), we have the responsibility and God-ordained purpose to illuminate our world—our sphere of contact—and manifest the glory of God. This is our calling.
Romans 8:19 says, “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” Jesus said in Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” It’s your responsibility to make your light shine; you’re to make the personal decision and commitment to manifest the glory of God and be a blessing to your world.
It’s not enough to be passively preoccupied with the blessings and advantages that Christianity offers. You’re to be passionate about God’s work and see to it that His Kingdom is established in your home, street, place of work, school and in your sphere of contact. You’re to impact your world with the Gospel! You’re to light up your world with the fire of God that’s in you and manifest His glory to everyone around you.

Pastor Chris

Confession
I’m the light of the world and I function today as a burning and a shining light! I’m manifesting God’s glory to my world, making His Name known, and bringing men and women unto righteousness, in Jesus’ Name.

How to Cure Weak Faith

If you have faith in God and don’t doubt, you can tell this mountain to get up and jump into the sea, and it will (Mark 11:23 CEV).

I get amazed at folks who say they know the Bible says something, yet they're not acting on it. For example, a Christian says, “I know the Bible says “by His stripes we were healed” but he's lying down sick. That's weak faith. Weak faith is the result of ‘lack of exercise’ of faith; the result of not acting on the information you've received from God’s Word. It's like a fellow who keeps eating but does no exercises; his muscles will grow big but weak. In the same manner, God's Word is food to your spirit. If you keep receiving God's Word and do nothing with it, your faith will be weak. Weak faith causes people to stagger, and as a result, fear grips them and they're defeated by the crisis of life. The cure for weak faith is acting on the Word-acting on the in formation you've received. If you want your faith to be great and strong, start doing the Word! For example, the Bible says, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you" (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Put this to work in your life. Give thanks in every situation! Let your life become an unending stream of praise and thanksgiving to God.
Tell yourself, The Word of God says, “By His stripes we were healed”, therefore, I refuse to be sick. I refuse to lie down on the sick-bed or remain in a wheel-chair or go about with crutches, for I’m the healed of the Lord!” That's acting on the Word. For your faith to become strong and not weak, and to produce results, you must be a 'doer’ of the Word. You must take God's word as the ‘reality’: the only truth to live by in every circumstance of life.

Faith Verses Hope

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).

The Bible says “faith is the substance of things hoped for,” and therein lies the difference between faith and hope. Faith has substance: it is the proof or evidence that what you hoped for has become yours, but hope has no substance! Hope is futuristic: faith is for now. Hope is looking over a wall at something you desire, praying that one day it’ll become yours. But faith either climbs that wall and takes a hold of that thing, or gets the necessary documents to take ownership of that thing even though from a distance. So, while the hoper says, “I am going to have it,” faith says, “I have it now!” The Bible never said the just should live by hope but by faith (Hebrews 10:38). Faith is the evidence of unseen realities; as far as faith is concerned, whatever you were hoping for is yours now, thus you act as though you've already gotten it. Now, when I say “act” I don't mean you pretend that you've gotten it or ‘try to act like you've gotten it so you can really get it.’ No. You act like you've gotten it because you know you’ve gotten it in your spirit! But the hoper doesn't understand this. He's still waiting and praying to get it. He's still counting on God to fight his battles for him, not realizing that God has already done all that’s necessary to usher us into the glory-life. But the one who’s in faith says, “Thank you Lord; you've made all things ready for me and given me all that I require for life and godliness. I claim every blessing that's in your word for me, in Jesus’ Name!” While hope puts things in the sweet by-and-by, faith is in the now; faith is for today! Faith takes possession now. It's faith that catapults you into your inheritance in Christ, not hope. For you to reign in life as the king that you are, your hope must be converted to faith by accepting what God has said about you, and speaking the same thing in agreement, irrespective of contrary circumstances.

Walk by Faith; not by Sensory Perceptions!

For we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7,).

Christianity is a walk of faith. Faith is the lifestyle of the believer. All through the New Testament, with particular reference to the Epistles, there's not a single place where the Christian is asked to have faith. Rather, the scriptures let us know that we already have faith as Christians: …according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith” (Romans 12:3). God wouldn't ask us to walk by faith if we didn't already have faith. A man can either walk by faith or by his senses. The Bible says, “They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God” (Romans 9:8). The children of the flesh are those who are ruled by their senses. Instead of walking by faith, they walk by sensory perceptions. What does it mean to walk by sensory perceptions? It simply means to walk by your senses-by what you can see, hear, touch, taste or smell. Man is a spirit who has a soul and lives in a body. 2 Corinthians 5:6 says, “Therefore we are always confident knowing that whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord.” Your body is not you; it's the place of your abode while you're here on earth. That’s why the Bible says, “...we are absent from the Lord” because we're not in Heaven but here on earth. We don't behold the Lord face to face every hour the way people in Heaven do. So how do we know He's with us? He has told us in His word that He's with us always (Matthew 28:20).
Therefore, we don't have to wait to feel His presence because whether or not we feel it, He's there with us. Have you ever felt forsaken of God? Some people feel that way and say “Oh I don't feel the presence of God anymore.” They are moved by their feelings, instead of relying on the Word of God. Don't live your life on the basis of your senses; live by faith. Don't say “I have a headache,” because you feel some discomfort in your head; refuse to accept and endorse such information! Instead, say “Though I feel a headache, I refuse to accommodate it, for I’m the healed of the Lord!” Do the same for your finances; don't say, “I'm broke” just because there's no money in your pocket or bank account. Instead, say, “I refuse to lack because I’m a child of God, and a joint heir with Christ.”

Take up the Shield of Faith!

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked (‘Ephesians 6:16).
Whenever you take a hold of the Word of God, negative forces rampage and try to steal the Word from your heart, for Satan knows that without the Word, you'll be vulnerable to his attacks.
Remember the parable of the sower; the Bible says as he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, which the birds of the air came to pick up. Jesus said the seeds that fell by the way side are those that hear the Word of God and don’t understand it. Then Satan comes immediately to steal it because it didn’t get into the soil of their hearts. The first time the Word of God came to Jesus openly, Satan attempted to make that word of none effect by questioning the veracity of the Word. God said, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17) and soon enough, Satan came too and said “If thou be the Son of Cod, command that these stones be made bread” (Matthew 4:3). He challenged the Word that came to Jesus, but Jesus repelled him by using the shield of faith. He refused to give in to the wiles of the enemy by standing firm on God's Word.
The devil attacks your faith by throwing darts at you like missiles. For instance, he may say, ‘if indeed you're a new creation, repel that pain.” You may actually be feeling weak all over and think you need to lie down. But no At that point, you ought to take out your shield of faith and quench that fiery dart the devil is throwing at you. You ought to get up and shout, ‘I've got the life of God in me! Sickness has no place in my body! I walk in strength!” Glory to God!
Look at the scripture again: “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darns of the wicked.” In order words, you won't need to cry to God to help you do it; the ability to repel the darts of the enemy is in you.

Zero faith, Little Faith and Great Faith!

…I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel (Luke 7:9).

When the other disciples told Thomas they had seen Jesus, he said, “Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe” (John 20:25). When Jesus showed up, He said to Thomas, ‘Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing” (John 20:27). Thomas was “faithless” meaning he had “zero faith”: he had to see the Lord first with his physical eyes, and touch Him with His hands before he could believe the Lord had risen from the dead. Thomas exhibited faithlessness—”zero faith,” which in reality is no faith at all because faith is the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). When Jesus came walking on the water to His disciples, Peter asked Him “...Lord, if it be thou, bid rune come unto thee on the water...” and Jesus said to Him “come” (Matthew 14:28)! Peter came walking on the water, until he saw the winds and waves and began to sink. The Bible says immediately, “Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, 0 thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? (Matthew 14:31). That’s another category of faith—little faith. Little faith is the result of insufficient information from God's Word. The less of God's Word you hear, the less faith you'll have. Little faith exhibits fear and doubt. Little faith may get the job started but chickens out in the face of adversity. However, the Lord wants you to be like the centurion, of whom Jesus said, “I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel” (Luke 7:9). The centurion had said to Jesus, “Master, you don’t have to come to my house; stay where you are and speak the word, and my servant will be healed” (Luke 7:7-8). He had absolute confidence in the Word of 1he Master; that’s great faith. Great faith is the result of more accurate information from God's Word. So, don't be discouraged if your faith has been little. What you need do is to grow your faith through the Word! You can place orders for teaching tapes, DVDs, books and other materials we have on faith, that’ll help build your faith strong, log on to www.christembassyonlinestore.org.

Fear is the Enemy of Faith

And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith? (‘Mark 4:39-40).

Jesus was in the ship with His disciples one day when a violent storm arose. He was sleeping while His disciples battled the strong waves that threatened to sink the ship. After trying all they could to no avail, they rushed to the Master and shook Him awake, shouting, “...Teacher, don't you care that we're about to drown?” (Mark 4:38 CEV).
When Jesus woke up, He was unruffled. He didn't jump up in fear. He simply rebuked the winds and the sea, saying, “Peace, be still,” and there was a great calm! Then He turned to His disciples and said to them. “Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?” (Matthew 8:26). Faith and fear don't go together. Fear hinders faith, but faith destroys fear. When your faith is little, you’ll be oppressed and tormented by fear, hence your faith will not work. Little faith is the result of insufficient information. Hosea 4:6 says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge....” God said His children are destroyed, that is, they suffer, are impoverished, punished, brought down, crushed and perish because they lack the knowledge of His Word. However, the more of God’s word you hear, the more knowledge you have, and faith comes to you in the Word. The less of God’s word you hear, the less faith you have.
Fear is a spirit that always tries to attack your faith. The next time it tries to attack you, go on your knees before the Lord and put your Bible right in front of you! Don't only read or meditate on the scriptures, but also quote them out openly until you're fully saturated. The Bible says, when the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves, (Ecclesiastes 11:3). Before long, you'll begin to roar, "l refuse to fear!"

Faith is the Victory that Overcomes the World!

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulations: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33).

Many people assume turbulent times are not for Christians and that anyone experiencing trying times might have offended God: especially when the situation is prolonged. This is far from the truth. Your road to accomplishing success could have trials and challenges. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 3:1 2 “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” However, the good news is, it doesn't matter the challenges you face, or the strength of your persecutors, you've already overcome them all. Jesus knew we would encounter problems in this world, but He confirmed that as we remain in Him, we would live a life of peace even in the face of adversity. That's why He said, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulations: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). These words of the Master must re-echo in your heart if you must enjoy a victorious life. Those words give us the assurance that we're not alone, and that our victory is a settled fact.
You may wonder why God left us in this world of trials and temptations, or want to know why He allows trials to come our way in life. Well, the truth is God doesn't mind trials or temptations coming your way since He knows He's already made you an overcomer: “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). You need to know that God has made His power available to you and lifted you over principalities and powers. You've already overcome the world and its systems; and as for the devil, you're superior to him. Therefore, cheer up, chin out, and square your shoulders for you're a victor in Christ Jesus. Your faith in Him is the victory that has overcome the world: “For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4).

Faith is Taking Possession in the Spirit!

He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

The scripture above is also rendered thus: “...also he hath set eternity in their heart....” God has set eternity in your heart, meaning that there's no limit to the extent and reach of what you can possess by faith! You have the capacity to contain eternity itself in your spirit.
This was how Abraham became the possessor of the whole earth. When the Lord said to him, “Lift up flow thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever” (Genesis 13:14-15), he knew that the Lord wasn't talking about physical lands. By faith, he saw the whole world with his spiritual eyes and once he was able to see it, God said “it's yours!” (Romans 4:13). This was his Certificate of Ownership of Planet earth!
Start practicing how to see and take possession from your spirit, for that's where God guides you from. He doesn't function in the realm of the mind or senses. With your faith, you can take businesses, corporations, cities, nations and ultimately the whole world with the gospel! You can open the doors of every nation to the influence of the gospel of Jesus Christ! The things you see with your eyes of faith, and take possession of in the realm of the spirit become realities as you speak them forth.
Remember that your spirit has the capacity to contain Cod! If eternity can dwell in your heart, much less the whole world! Learn to release yourself to the Holy Spirit and allow your faith to soar, and the whole world will become your field of operation.

Faith Translates Trials to Challenges

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory (2 Corinthians 4:17).

Faith translates trials to challenges not impossibilities. Many things happen to us in life, but the way we interpret them determines our response to them. The full knowledge of our identity is therefore important. When the Bible says that you're more than a conqueror, it infers an assurance of victory. No force can throw you off balance. Thus when trials come your way, translate them to challenges. That's the mindset of victors. Only victors translate problems into challenges.
The right attitude, which is the faith-attitude, is very vital for dynamic Christian living. Some folks act amoebic when they face trials. They change their confessions and lifestyles to create “adaptive features” for the time being. They forget the ways of the Lord and all His goodness and opt for a faithless lifestyle. Nonetheless, things never get better for them because their life is not consistent with the Word. Your consistency in the profession of your faith is one of the most essential of all Christian attitudes. Remain unshakable in speaking God’s word, no matter what you see or how disastrous the situation may seem. You must be wise to walk with a consciousness of your identity. You must find out what God says about you and the (temporary) circumstance you're facing. Then speak the word of God to yourself concerning the seemingly 'dead’ Case.
Keep speaking and doing God's word and every anomaly in your life will be put in check to conform with the word. See trials as surmountable challenges, and as opportunities for the glory of God to be revealed in your life.

Faith is Action Added to the Word

Abraham‘s faith and deeds worked together. He proved that his faith was real by what he did This is what the Scriptures mean by saying, “Abraham had faith in God, and Gad waspleased with him.” That's how Abraham became God’s friend. You can now see that we please God by what we do and not by what we believe (James 2:22-24 MSG).

Faith is what you do as a result of God’s Word that you believe. In other words, faith is action added to your believing. When you hear God's Word, don't stop at believing what it says; act on it-do what it says! That's faith. Sometimes, some folks easily give up or get discouraged when they start out acting on the Word. That’s wrong; never stagger at the word of God through unbelief, Strong faith doesn't stagger or give up; strong faith insists on the integrity and infallibility of God's Word in the face of staggering opposition.
Remember, we’re Word practitioners; we practice God’s Word by doing what it says. That’s the way to grow prevailing faith and continuously experience the blessing of the Word in your life. Learn to practice God’s Word; it’s an instruction from God’s Spirit: “Be ye doers of the word and not hearers only.” That's another way of saying “add action to your faith!”
This was what Abraham and other men of faith listed in faith’s hall of fame did (Hebrews 11:1), The Bible says “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith” (Hebrews 11:7).
Noah added action to the words he received from God by moving with reverence to prepare the ark: he acted on the Word! The Word of God is for doing; it's for us to live by. Learning to live by the truth of God’s word means you've set yourself up for an eternal journey of success, victory and prosperity. Add action to your faith today, by putting the Word to work in your life.

God Always Says “Yes!’

For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us (2 Corinthians 1:20).

One time, Smith Wigglesworth was called upon to pray for a woman who had died. “It’s no use,” some folks said, trying to discourage him, but he wouldn’t be discouraged. Rather, he started praying, and as he prayed, it seemed as though the heavens were locked up with bronze gates, thus, preventing his prayers from going through. The more he prayed, the more it seemed God was saying, “No, she is already dead; forget about
it!” Instead of allowing his senses dictate to him, he continued earnestly in prayer till he got the note of victory in his spirit. Suddenly he shouted, “Yes! Yes! Yes! She’s alive!” Then he stood her straight against the wall and said, “In the Name of Jesus, I command you to walk!” Instantly, the woman began to walk. Hallelujah!
God never says no. I’ve heard some people say, “God always answers every prayer either by saying ‘yes’ or ‘no’! He says “yes” if He honors your request, and “no” if He doesn’t! This sounds logical, but it sure doesn’t measure up with the Character of God and what the Bible says. The Bible shows that all the promises of God in Christ are all “yes” (2 Corinthians 1:20); not “yes sometimes,” and “no some other times.” In other words, if you ask according to His will, which means you ask in faith and in the Name of Jesus, His answer will definitely be a “yes.”
But if you ask with a heart full of doubt and unbelief, you’ve pushed the wrong codes, and that way, He won’t hear you. It’s like wanting to reach a friend on phone and dialing a wrong number. You’ll never be able to get through to him that way because even though you made a call, it was to the wrong number. So when you pray and don’t receive an answer it’s not because God said “no” to your request; He didn’t hear you because you were praying amiss. You weren’t praying in accordance to His will—His Word: “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us” (1 John 5:14).
Understand that God never refuses His kids any good thing; He never says “no”; it’s not in His nature to withhold any blessing from His children. Therefore when you face challenges and it seems the world is against you, just laugh, for your heavenly Father is more than willing to answer you speedily when you make your requests known to Him.

God’s Love Versus Human Love

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him (1 John 4:9,).

The Bible says “Love is kind and patient, never jealous, boastful, proud, or rude. Love isn’t selfish or quick tempered. It doesn’t keep a record of wrongs that others do. Love rejoices in the truth, but not in evil. Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting. Love never fails!” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8 CEV). This is the description of “agape,” the God-kind of love, It’s self-giving and never selfish. It puts others first. It takes no record of wrongs. This is the love that’s been shed abroad by the Holy Ghost in the heart of the believer (Romans 5:5).
Agape was what moved the Father to send His Son to die for the sins of the world (John 3:16). This is absolutely different from human love, which to say the least is possessive, fickle and selfish. It doesn’t stand the test of time. It lasts only as long as the object of that love conforms to its expectations, and that’s because it’s based on natural emotions and desires. But the love of God, on the contrary, never fails! It doesn’t change even if the behavior of the one to whom it is directed changes.
This is the reason God could love a world of wicked sinners, for He looked beyond their sins to see what they could be if they trusted in Him. And the good news is if you’re born again, you can love others the way God loves them; you no longer have to rely on your own willpower or human emotions to love them!
So, make sure you operate in the love of God and not in ordinary human love, judge your love-standard from the description in 1 Corinthians 13, and you’ll always be on the right track in your love-walk.

You’re Bigger Than Inflation!

Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great (Genesis 26:12-13).

By natural laws, Isaac shouldn’t have gotten the harvest he did when he sowed in the land of Gerar. There was a terrible famine, meaning that the economic factors were adverse to his prosperity. Everyone else who ventured into agriculture turned up with nothing. But there was something about Isaac that made his case different—he was Abraham’s seed.
God had said to Abraham, “...l will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing” (Genesis 12:2). God invoked in the man the empowerment to prosper. It didn’t matter where Abraham or his descendants found themselves—they functioned by a different set of rules! They weren’t affected by the economy of the nation where they lived, for they functioned by divine principles. Isaac smartly keyed into this, and his prosperity was mind- blowing. He prospered so much that the Philistines envied him (Genesis 26:14); the same thing happened in the lives of his own children.
Abraham’s physical descendant didn’t need to look for the ‘lucrative business” of the day for they were themselves the symbols of prosperity! They functioned by heaven’s economy. They weren’t dominated by market forces, economic downturns or inflation; they grew bigger and faster than inflation. It ought to be the same with you, for the Bible says, “if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29).
The same blessings God pronounced on Abraham are yours! The divine enablement to prosper and succeed has been invoked upon your life! Others may lament the inflation and prevalent economic crunch in the world today, but you have a different song! Why? You’re Abraham’s seed; you operate heaven’s economy! You’re the icon of supernatural prosperity.

Learn To Laugh Your Way Through!

A merry heart doeth good like medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones (Proverbs 17:22).

I’ve had the opportunity to observe people over the years and I made a remarkable discovery: people who don’t laugh easily get sick, whereas laughing people hardly ever get sick. I discovered that laughter is more spiritual than many realize. There’s more to it than a mere response to a joke or hilarious event. In the Kingdom of God, laughter is medicine: A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones” (Proverbs 17:22).
Laughter is generally found in the atmosphere that’s full of joy. The anointing of the Holy Spirit is most effective in such an environment. When the anointing is present in an environment, everything that’s not of God, including poverty, discouragement, sicknesses and diseases are dispelled. Thus it’s no wonder that the sick are easily healed in an atmosphere that’s saturated with joy.
Moreover, joy inspires success and prosperity. The joy I’m talking about isn’t of the world but of God. You received it the moment the Holy Spirit came to live in you. The Lord Jesus already told us in John 16:22, “...I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.” This joy isn’t subject to circumstances of life. Paul the apostle reiterated this when he said, “As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing...” (2 Corinthians 6:10).
Let the joy of the Lord spring up from within your heart in spite of prevailing situations. Learn to laugh your way to victory! Remember, the Bible says “...with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation,” (Isaiah 12:3). So learn to be joyful always! Let nothing take the laughter of the Spirit away from your mouth.

Covet Earnestly The “Best Gifts”

For the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit, To another the working of miracles... (1 Corinthians 12:7-11).

The gifts mentioned above are spiritual gifts which the Holy Spirit imparts to His kids. God wants us to be desirous of these gifts; He wants us to walk in the supernatural by manifesting the gifts of the spirit. However, in 1 Corinthians 12:3 1, He charges us to “covet earnestly the best gifts...” So the question is which gifts of the Spirit are the best gifts?
Now, the term “best gifts” doesn’t imply that some spiritual gifts are “better” than others. The best gifts are the gifts that you require at a particular point in time for the need that you have. In your Christian walk, you require the operation of the gifts of the Spirit at different times and for different purposes. For example, if you spoke in tongues and needed the interpretation of what you said in other tongues, the “best gift” or most beneficial spiritual gift to you at that time would be the gift of the interpretation of tongues. If you were faced with a trying situation and needed a miracle, the “best gift” at that time would be the gift of the working of miracles.
What you must always remember is that the Holy Spirit is the giver of these spiritual gifts and He resides in you. So all you need do is ask in faith. You say, “Father, in the Name of the Lord Jesus, I ask for this gift and I receive it now.” This is exciting; the fact that you can operate at the realm of the supernatural! This is why you ought never to be disadvantaged for you have the keys you need to unlock any door in your life.
Take advantage of the presence of the blessed Holy Spirit and the gifts He freely imparts to His kids who ask of Him. Ask Him today for the manifestation of that gift of the Spirit that you require right now.

Love Is A Choice

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God (1 John 4:7).

If you’re born again, the love of God has been shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). That means you have the inherent capacity to love as God does. But the fact that this love is in your heart doesn’t mean it’ll automatically flow out to everyone. I’ve heard people say, “I prayed to God to help me love so-and-so but I just can’t.” Well, that’s putting your own responsibility on the Lord and it won’t work that way. You have to make the choice to walk in love, for love is a choice—you choose to love!
God’s not the one to make you love someone; He’s already put His love in your spirit and now it’s up to you to let it out. I’ve often said that I’ve never met someone I didn’t like and some folks wonder how this is possible. I chose to be that way. Through the Word of God, I decided to relate with people from God’s perspective. I see people the way God sees them, and that’s the right way to live. When you imbibe this mindset, you’d respond to people on the basis of the love of the Father.
This simple but powerful thought could change your life forever. It’s the solution to the many broken marriages, friendships and relationships, where each party feels they can’t love the other anymore. I would to God they’d learn to walk in love! Choose to love! Even when others rebuff as you try to reach out to them in love, refuse to be discouraged. Love is the greatest power in the universe, and eventually it will melt the hardest heart.

You’re Important To God

And Boaz said unto the elders, and unto all the people, Ye are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech's, and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon's, of the hand of Naomi. Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance... (Ruth 4:9-10).

The Bible lets us know that Boaz redeemed all that belonged to Elimelech and his sons, Mahlon and Chilion because of his love for Ruth. It was the custom in Israel for the nearest kinsman to a deceased Israelite to redeem his estate, including his widow and that was what Boaz did. However, he wasn’t really interested in the land and property of Elimelech and his sons for he was already a wealthy man. He knew he had to buy up everything to get Ruth, for he loved her and she was very important to him.
If a man could go this length to redeem a humble lady, how much more God! The Bible says He didn’t spare His Son but delivered Him up for us (Romans 8:32). He didn’t decide to give bulls, sheep and goats for our salvation; neither did He send the highest ranking angel! He gave His only Son Jesus Christ as a sacrifice for you and me because we’re important to Him. We’re as valuable to Him as Jesus is. That’s why He spared no cost for our salvation.
This ought to let you know that you’re priceless and important to the Father. In His eyes, you’re number one! You’re most precious to Him. When you’re conscious of this truth all the time, it will add springs to your steps and put a smile on your face—it will kindle joy in your heart every day.

You Came At The Right Time!

For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy fathers house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? (Ether4:14).

The Bible records that a certain man by the name Haman masterminded a conspiracy against the Jews while they were in captivity. Being the Prime Minister1; he was able to convince the King that it was necessary to annihilate the Jewish people. But by this time, a young Jewish girl by the name Esther had been chosen as queen of the reigning king, Ahaseurus.
When her uncle, Mordecai heard about it, he sent her this message: “who can say but that God has brought you into the palace for just such a time as this?” In other words, he was letting Queen Esther know that she came into Ahaseurus palace at the right time—for the purpose of saving God’s people. At the risk of her life, Esther took up the challenge and ensured Haman’s plan was foiled. She proved that her being in the palace at such a time in the history of the Jews was a product of divine destiny; it was to save the Jewish race from being annihilated by Haman.
Years ago, as a teenager I would say over and over again, “The world needs me! I was born as the answer to the cry of millions!” I knew that I came at the right time to impact this generation, and my life has been programmed in that direction ever since. There’s a reason you weren’t born a century ago or a century from now; God purposed and planned that you would come in this generation, to be the answer to the cry of many in your world.
Just like Esther, you were born for such a time as this—you came at the right time. You came as the answer to the cry of many. You’re God’s agent of salvation in a hurting world. When you have this kind of mentality, you’ll live as a helper and lifter of others. Remember, your life is for the salvation of souls!

Worship The Lord

Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish’s belly (Jonah 2:1).

A young lady had been sick for several years and had been given up to die. In that state, sick and in pains, she was carried to a crusade. During the time of worship, she joined in and had a wonderful time, ignoring her pains. She looked away from her pains and sickness unto God. Suddenly, she noticed her hands that hadn’t moved for years were lifted up. Then it dawned on her that she’d been healed of her disease. Overwhelmed with joy, she gave her testimony in tears. Hallelujah!
If you desire a miracle in your situation, then you have to take your attention away from the challenge you’re facing and worship the Lord. The Bible says Jonah prayed to the Lord out of the fish’s belly (Jonah 2:1). Right in the midst of trouble Jonah still prayed unto the Lord. He forgot about his situation and prayed. When you study the content of his prayer you’ll discover it was all of worship and thanksgiving (Jonah 2:9). As he worshipped and thanked the Lord from the fish’s belly “the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land” (Jonah 2:10). What a mighty deliverance!
Solutions come when you worship the Lord in the midst of your trouble. The Lord Jesus didn’t respond to the woman whose daughter was vexed with an evil spirit until she worshipped Him (Matthew 1 5:22-28).
Someone has rightly said, “Those who look at the sun don’t see the shadows.” How true! So learn to subdue your pains, disease or financial condition and worship the Lord instead. Love Him with all your heart for He’s good and real; more real than whatever situation you’re going through.

It’s Not Over Yet!

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation... (Habakkuk 3:17-19).

I‘m often amazed at how some Christians easily give up and succumb to life’s challenges. You’ve got to understand that if you’re a child of God, you aren’t a victim! In the scripture above the prophet described a dire situation, yet chose to rejoice in the Lord all the same: “Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places....” In other words, although there was a problem, the prophet wasn’t moved by what he saw, felt, or perceived.
This should be your attitude as well. The story isn’t complete until you’ve won! Things may not be going the way you expect at the moment, but don’t despair. Reiterate your trust in God by giving Him praise for doing all things well. Tell yourself, “I’m not giving up” and begin to rejoice in the Lord God of your salvation.
Remember Paul and Silas? Things couldn’t have looked more hopeless for them as they huddled in chains in the dark dungeon of that maximum-security Roman prison. But instead of cringing in fear and hopelessness, they decided to praise God, and you know the rest of the story (Acts 16:23-36).
It’s time for you to praise God like you’ve never done before. You may not feel like it, but praise Him anyway, because that’s where the victory lies! It’s not over yet. Put your trust in God. Worship Him in spirit and in truth and Hell inhabit your praise and bring His power to bear on your situation.

Get Big For The Gospel

Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor mans wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard” (Ecclesiastes 9:16).

The Lord Jesus charged His disciples in Mark 16:15 to “Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Preaching the gospel to the entire world goes beyond reaching people one by one; it involves organizing and holding outreach crusades, having Christian teaching programmes on TV, printing and distributing of evangelical materials, and so on. All these cost a lot of money, thus the reason we ought to get big financially—so we can sponsor the gospel around the world big-time.
The Bible says a poor man’s wisdom is despised; in other words, his gospel is not heard since his words are despised. He may shout at the top of his voice, his reach will still be limited as he’s unable to afford the right platforms that'll cause whatever he has to say to make the necessary impact. “All the brothers of the poor hate him; How much more do his friends go far from him! He may pursue them with words, yet they abandon him” (Proverbs 19:7 NLT).
Refuse to be poor. Don’t be like some folks who ask, “Must every Christian be rich?” Nobody said everyone must be rich, but who says you shouldn’t be? Make up your mind to reject poverty; never accept it for one moment. God doesn’t want you poor. That’s why He gave us His Word, so we can learn how to deal wisely in life and profit in all our endeavors. He’s given us the wisdom to get wealth, not because He’s after riches, but because He wants us to advance His Kingdom. He says “My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad...” (Zechariah 1:17)
Thus the reason for our collective and individual wealth as Christians is so we can spread the gospel and cause the Kingdom of God to move forward; so get big for the gospel sake.

Have An Attitude Of Praise And Thanksgiving Always!

Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour and power and might, be unto our God for ever and ever Amen (Revelation 7: 12).

One important thing you can give to God is your praise and thanksgiving. In Luke 17:17, Jesus asked the leper who returned to give thanks, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine.” In Mathew 26:2 7 Jesus gave thanks to God for the cup—His own blood that would be shed! David wanted to show kindness to anyone who was left of the house of Saul, because of his gratitude to his friend Jonathan (2 Samuel 9:7). Elisha prayed for the woman who provided him with food and shelter to have a child—that was his expression of gratitude for the love she had shown to him (2 Kings 4:12-1 7).
Maybe you’re thinking to yourself that there’s particularly nothing to be thankful for; you’re thinking, “After all, I’m sick” “I’m unhappy”; “I have bills to pay.” Well, if you’re a Christian, your life ought to be radiant and full of thanksgiving. Ephesians 5:20 says, “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Your prayers must be filled with gratitude, irrespective of what you feel or what you’re going through. Do not only acknowledge what you can see, rather acknowledge what God has done, because that is what keeps you living a life of gratitude.
Give God your praise and thanksgiving today as a demonstration of your gratitude for all He’s done for you. He deserves all your praise and adoration. Maintain an attitude of praise and thanksgiving always.

Confessing The Lordship Of Jesus - The God-ordained Way To Receive Salvation!

If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10).

The acknowledgement and confession of the Lordship of Jesus Christ is the God-ordained way to receive salvation. Certain evangelists and preachers believe that for a sinner to be saved, he must confess all his sins to God. No! That wouldn’t work because it’s not scriptural. You don’t receive salvation by confessing your sins. The Bible doesn’t say “If you confess or repent of your sins you will be saved”; instead it says “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
The moment a sinner declares the Lordship of Jesus over his life; he becomes a new man. All his sins are remitted. He is passed from death to life. That’s the beauty of what Christ did for us on the cross. That’s why the Bible says, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them...” (2 Corinthians 5:19).
God is not holding any sin against any sinner. That’s why it’s wrong to tell the sinner to confess his sins for God has no record of them. When a sinner tries to confess his sins to God, He doesn’t see them because they were nailed to the cross; thus they cease to exist.
What the sinner needs is to confess with his mouth, not all his sins, but the Lord Jesus, and believe in his heart that God has raised Him from the dead, and he would be saved! That’s what qualifies him to be recreated! After he has become a Christian, he can receive forgiveness if he ever does something wrong.

Help Is Not Far Away

And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the Lord, before the new court, And said, 0 Lord God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gayest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend  forever? (2 Chronicles 20.5-7).

King Jehoshaphat was at a crossroads. His kingdom was surrounded by a powerful army and total destruction was imminent. With many questions in his heart, he turned to God for help. The problem was far beyond human solution; he needed God desperately and that was who he turned to.
“Are you not the God in charge of the universe? Is there anything you can’t do?” could probably summarize the questions Jehoshaphat must have asked. I want you to understand here that he wasn’t in anyway doubting God’s ability to save his kingdom. If he did then he wouldn’t have decided to pray in the first place. These were rhetorical questions and he didn’t need any answers, for he already had the answers. He recognized God as his tower of refuge, and God delivered him and preserved his kingdom by a mighty hand.
Are you in a similar situation today, where you desperately need the miraculous intervention of Almighty God? Are you facing a challenge that only God could solve? I want you to know that help is not far away. Your boss, husband or teacher may not be able to solve your problems, but I know one person that can handle anything. He’s the God of all flesh and there’s nothing too difficult for Him (Jeremiah 32:2 7).
It doesn’t matter how grave the situation you’re in today is, or how dire your needs are, the Lord is strong enough to cause a change. He’s your refuge and strength, your very present help in times of need (Proverbs 18:10).

Unleash Your Faith!

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life... (1 Timothy 6:12).

I love to define the “fight of faith” as “the unleashing of your faith on the rebellious circumstances of time, to compel changes to correspond with your stubborn faith proclamations.” I chose to use the word “unleash” to communicate the strength of the definition. To “unleash” means to “release or vent”; it means to “turn loose or free from restraint”; “to release from a leash” much in the same way as a guard dog is released from its leash to pursue a criminal.
So, the way and manner to apply your faith to the contrary situations you face isn’t passive or mild; it connotes some form of divine aggression! The fight of faith is when you vent or turn your faith loose to run rampage against the negative situations of life! When sickness attacks your body, for example, you unleash your faith to the maximum! That’s the time to maintain your confessions of health and healing, irrespective of the symptoms you may be feeling. That’s the time to tell that tumor, “You’re dead from your roots in the Name of Jesus!”
If it’s poverty that tries to attack you, do the same thing—unleash your faith without restraints! Refuse to accept thoughts of lack. Keep declaring, “The Lord is my shepherd, therefore I’ll never lack! He supplies all my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Learn to vocalize your faith, irrespective and independent of obvious contrary circumstances.
No matter how rebellious the circumstances are, they can never withstand the unleashing of your stubborn faith! This is why you must study and meditate on the Word of God consciously for that’s the way your faith is increased. When your faith reservoir is high, it’ll be easy to pull out the necessary confessions that’ll force rebellious circumstances to comply with your faith’s proclamations.
