Abraham‘s faith and deeds worked together. He proved that his faith was real by what he did This is what the Scriptures mean by saying, “Abraham had faith in God, and Gad waspleased with him.” That's how Abraham became God’s friend. You can now see that we please God by what we do and not by what we believe (James 2:22-24 MSG).

Faith is what you do as a result of God’s Word that you believe. In other words, faith is action added to your believing. When you hear God's Word, don't stop at believing what it says; act on it-do what it says! That's faith. Sometimes, some folks easily give up or get discouraged when they start out acting on the Word. That’s wrong; never stagger at the word of God through unbelief, Strong faith doesn't stagger or give up; strong faith insists on the integrity and infallibility of God's Word in the face of staggering opposition.
Remember, we’re Word practitioners; we practice God’s Word by doing what it says. That’s the way to grow prevailing faith and continuously experience the blessing of the Word in your life. Learn to practice God’s Word; it’s an instruction from God’s Spirit: “Be ye doers of the word and not hearers only.” That's another way of saying “add action to your faith!”
This was what Abraham and other men of faith listed in faith’s hall of fame did (Hebrews 11:1), The Bible says “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith” (Hebrews 11:7).
Noah added action to the words he received from God by moving with reverence to prepare the ark: he acted on the Word! The Word of God is for doing; it's for us to live by. Learning to live by the truth of God’s word means you've set yourself up for an eternal journey of success, victory and prosperity. Add action to your faith today, by putting the Word to work in your life.
